Lincoln Park is named for the 1,200+ acre green space which is home to beautiful walking and bike paths, as well as a conservatory, nature museum, and the famous Lincoln Park Zoo, which hosts events and entertainment year-round. It provides easy access to the lake and public beaches beaches, and is close to DePaul University. Along Wells Street, you will find unique specialty shops catering to many interests, as well as restaurants and pubs for any taste. The amazing variety comes from a mix of generations-old establishments and newer artesian offerings. Old Town is also home to the world-famous Second City improv club, which is always good for an entertaining night out! Old Town is also just steps away from Lake Michigan, with beaches and lakefront bike trails. Old Town provides easy access to additional shopping and entertainment via transit; a few short minutes on the CTA Brown and Purple Lines take you straight into the downtown Loop, and the area is well-served by busses 9, 37, and 72.
